Accessory replacement
Submitted By: GA Paramedic
Date Created: 06-23-2006
Description: All of the gauges, controls, steering mechanisims, seats, cushions, railings, ski pole and lights left alot to be desired. The gauges were rusted and cloudy and not reliant for accuracy. The controls were loose and not too visualy pleasant. The steering cable was frozen and broken midway to the motor. The seats were the last thing that the last owner replaced. Although not origional, they worked and only had minor damage to them. The cushions around the sides, up front and in the back of the boat were totally destroyed. The vinyl was ripped, foam torn, and wood backing rotten and very faded. Half of the railings where missing and the oher chrome hardware was far from bright. The ski pole was the best part of the whole boat. In great shape, just nothing firm to anchor to on the floor. The running light and anchor were not working and wires were missing. Chrome parts were definitely not in the best shape either.

View of steering area
Just an overview of the steering area. Throttle control leave alot to be desired and has no working choke. Manual only.

I wish I had before pics of these but they were faded, and paint was chipping miserably. Paint scheme was kept except for the manufacture. Hardware was removed, skis were sanded, repainted, clear coated, waxed, hardware cleaned and replaced and tried out in Carters Lake close to Ellijay, Georgia. Works very well.

View of old compartment
There was a plastic compartment here that was broken and the "locking door" was broken off. A new one has been ordered and will probably serve as a good storage for registration and other valuables to keep dry but probably not to be secure being that it is plastic.

Rusted steering wheel that feels tight while turning to the left, gauges that are cloudy and not lit up. Tilt trim control with 3 buttons. 3 buttons? Up, down and what else? Sideways? Anyways only 2 work and that is all I need.

View of ski pole
The best part of the boat but can't even be used. In great shape and the transome anchors are very firm. Just don't have a firm place to anchor the base.

A heavy metal base secured to pole with a large bolt and to be secured to floor with 8 bolts or lag screws. Not being used at this time. Just put up for pic.
