I had watched this boat by the side of the road for a number of years and had thought about stopping to inquire. I guess I waited too long, because I got a call from a friend of mine asking if I would like to take on a rebuild project. Turns out HE had purchased the boat I had seen!
Anyway, it is a 1971-ish GW Invader Banchie, about 13-foot long, originally rated for 80, yes eight-zero, horsepower! Has a shallow V-hull with a narrow pad near the transom. Should be a real performer!
My buddy dropped the boat off Fall of 2007 and work is set to begin!
