Glastron V178 Starflite 1975
Submitted By: redfury
Date Created: 05-01-2007
Description: Picked this boat up for $300 more than I should have paid for it, but it's mine now and I'm fixing it up.

For those that don't know, it's a 17ft Tri Hull Runabout, probably one of the best looking tri-hull Glastrons made, IMHO.
* update Feb 2008 *
The work started at my mobile home, in a mobile home park that did not look kindly on boats in the park overnight, much less weeks on end, particularly off the trailer! It now resides in the back yard of my house, getting less attention than I'd like...but thats the price for moving up in life a bit. I'm still without a garage, but I have room to work, which makes things easier as you'll see the further you get in the pictures. I'm hoping to have the structural work done by the end of 2008 and on the water mid 2009 if I'm lucky. If I'm industrious, I may be able to get it wet this year ( 2008 )
Update 2009. Work has resumed and will continue as long as the weather and conditions are favorable, and I can keep enough in the coffers for supplies. I should have the basics of a transom and stringers IN the boat this summer.
