Install Access Hatch For Bilge Pump
Submitted By: Three08

Description: Added a access hatch today in preparation of installing the bilge pump next week, I'm going to have to rethink things here as there's not enough room under the deck to put a pump!

Update:
Got a G.M.C. 500 G.P.H. pump and float switch to fit in there, both had to be glued in place using epoxy as the it would not fit with the bolts in place. If it was 1mm bigger the pump wouldn't of fit.

Access hatch for the bilge pump. As you can see there's not much room in there, only about 4" between the floor and the bottom of the hull and it slopes so its smaller than that on the other side of the hatch.

Bilge Pump Installed
Bilge pump & float switch held in place by epoxy. The lid closes but not quite all the way. I found a raised hatch the other day down at the local boat shop, so I might change the hatch over at some stage to get a better fit.

Another shot of the pump & switch.
