 An intriquing Craigslist entry
|
This is the picture I was provided prior to pickup. Worth a 4 hour round trip, since I have been looking for a cheap bass boat for 6 months.

In the picture I thought I could see transom caving, but turns out it is flush and firm. I still expect to do full stringers/floor/transom, but because the boat has so much molded fiberlass decking, it is very strong.

Transom is better than it appears

Here is what I am dreaming of...

A picture found online that will serve as inspiration! Many hours and dollars before I have something like this :)

Here is how she looks as the tear down begins.

 Rot rot rot

Love the goop that is always on the floor
|
A nice wet mix of garbage, fishooks and leaves. Why are all my boat projects parked under a tree for years?

This is a floor construction I have never seen, little squares of ply wood sandwhiched between a layer of glass mat and foam. But the foam does not go down to the hull, it is just approx. 2inches thick under the floor. Interesting...stringer down the center is thin, and completely rotted.
