Description: Found it in real rough shape inside but the hull looked ok except for the transom.......Had a Merc 150 hanging on by a thread!

As found June 10, 2009......Sitting in the open 4-5 years. A real mess.........

Loaded with junk but the hull is in real good shape except for the transom. The Merc is probably shot.....

Rear seat demolition so I can make a new frame...........

New seat parts cut out.................

Stripped......Top and bottom separated. Ready to move it inside for the next step..............

7 Hours later... Have all of the wood removed from the transom area.........

July 1, 2009 - Removed stringers....Ready to grind !

Added 3/4" plywood to crosssframing to better fasten down the future seating.............

Plywood cut to fit and ready to drop in on top of the stringers and cross framing. Wetted glass mat strips on top of the frames and 1-1/2" screws will be used.

Secured the deck and faired in the edges to make ready for glassing in..........

Too hot outside to finish today. The resin would set up too fast but now ready for the next step............

Re-inforced the edge where the rub rail will be secured. Plenty to grab on to now................

Prime and top coat on the floor etc........

Detailed, painted and ready to carpet and upholster.........

Top half off the ground and transom fix to be completed............

Two layers of 17.5 oz biax with mat applied and transom pulled straight prior to that with screws to a 2x4 inside..........

Cracks filled and transom now 98% straight............

Dash panel repair in progress.....Laminated 1/2" plywood backing.......

Dash panel filled and sanded...............

Hung it up and spray painted it two tone (Original Layout& Color) and painted the top half also........

With the help of the engine hoist got the top half back on........

Back on the trailer and ready to start securing the the two halves and glassing in the transom area..............

Cleats, rub rail, corner trim etc. detailed and installed

Old 1966 Glasspar boat, motor and trailer for sale cheap........Picked it up and plan to use the '85 Merc on the 160

Lower unit re-built - Cleaned, sanded, primed and painted. OEM '85 Merc decals located, prchased and applied.

New steering helm, steering wheel, steering cable and splashwell mount installed.........

New windshield - New decals - New bilge pump installed - Almost one year to date 6-14-2009 to 6-9-2010 Merc now bolted on........
