Description: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I was given a 1984 16' starcraft boat just had to go pick it up in Galveston Texas. I was told it was an Aluminum boat so i figured i could not go wrong with Aluminum prices.
I went and picked it up with its paper work and to my surprise doesnt look to bad. It had sank
Motor was seized but the floor looked solid and the transom looks good.
By the way it sank because the plug was left in it for about three months and we had lots of rain.
Tools / Materials: Go to the Boating Store

Doesnt look to bad. Lets dig in!!
Well this is how i brought it home. Not to bad floor seems solid.
The Motor is seized and well the wiring is a friggin nightmare surprised it ever ran.

Ok well i had to do it. I popped up the rear board in the boat. I did this for two reasons
1. it was not screwed down. First clue
2. the boat seemed heavy.
Well someone put a floor ontop of a rotten one. Well now you know what prompted me to start this project page. I'll let you know by the end of the day how it turns out. :(

Scary Floor

The floor under the floor.
Well here is the floor in the rear going to start yanking it all out.
I hope the foam underneath is not to bad. But only time will tell.

This is my son Austin. All i have to do is feed him Cokes and Sneakers bars. Give him a large crow bar and say dont break anything. I hope reverse scycology works here..... :)

The Help

Wow hes good at this.
Not real pretty as you can see. Time to pull out the second floor.

Looking better. Wow we are about 3 cokes down. Maybe i should get him one of those monster drinks.
Starting to come out

This Stuff is nasty
OK well as you can see the foam is on its way out.

My son is giving me the moral support i need not to sale this boat for its weight in Aluminum.
Man this foam Sucks.
Did i mention every thing i took Out was completely waterlogged.

Die grinder with a wire wheel is the way to go.

Shes naked
Well it is official. I can start now :)
