Buffer work

Port side captain's chair drama
I was out on the lake when the passenger captains chair ripped out as I hit some wake. My Girlfriend was in it at the time... and no she isn't 200lbs.. more like half that. So, i pulled up the carpet to see the damage...

I pulled out the carpet, too get a better view..
Floor repair begins!

Rotted plywood!
Plywood is rotted for sure, bad job by previous owner definately not original

Port side where floor meets the hull.. totally rotted out.
Serious Stringer Rot

Rear Bench
This is the rear bench seat in front of the engine compartment.

I plan to redo the instrument gauges .. here they are now
Existing dash and gauge cluster

Starboard view
Inside view of control area.. needs to be re-upholstered too the wood is rotted and flimsy

I cut out the bad pieces of old ply, ripped out the old glass job on the deck and put down new 1/2" ply.

Removed rotted stringer
You can see against the hull where the old and very rotted stringer was. I haven't replaced it yet.

Cut the hole for the ski storage too

I addressed the Bilge as well.

Getting close to the resin and glass job.

Carpet Time

Carpet install
Looks so much better already!

I am updating the old blue interior panels to match the grey carpet... here is the old...
Old panels)

Template
I used the old panel (after removing the blue carpet) to make a template for the new ones

I installed the side carpet pieces. The seams aren't critical as the side panels cover the joint. I need to do something to hang the wires and cables... they have been hanging since I got the boat!
Side carpet

Side panel install
I used stainless nuts and bolts and some galvanized strapping to hang the wires, then installed the side panel

Almost there! I decided to replace the old cracked teak trim with aluminum while I was at it, for a more modern look.
Getting close!
