Description:

Found this 1979 Mark Twain at a Church yard sale for next to nothing. It is a 19ft with a 350 5.7L Mercuriser (chevy). The floor had a few soft spots and the interior was weathered and the hull was dull.
The previous owner was unable to get it to run. Once the boat was home the motor was the first thing to tackle (after all a rebuilt boat the doesn’t run isn’t much fun).
First noticed was the motor was not getting any fuel, so I replaced the edlebrock carb with a freshly rebuilt Holly 4bl 650Cfm marine carb. So then I was getting fuel but no spark. So after a new ignition wire was ran to the distributor and the old gas removed and replaced with fresh and a oil change. She fired up! Now she starts on one turn of the key and idles fine with no issues.
I then tore out the interior and floor, and I am currently working on cleaning all the dirt and polishing up the hull. More pics to come
