Description: This 1955 14 ft Sea King wood boat was given to me, as it was of no use to the owner in its deteriorated condition. This boat was a lake boat in upstate New Jersy. It was restored and returned to the same lake in back in 1998. Restoration took about 3 months...... Email mrdonrh@verizon.net

Out of the basement storage awiting a trailer to tow it to Marco Island Florida, where the restoration will take place.

Repair, repair, repair!!

Milled white oak replacement ribs.

Ready to apply the 1/8" and 3/16" milled cedar strips to the ribs etc.

Added more stringers and seat braces.........

Mahogony and white oak transom..........

Cedar strips applied with West System epoxy and stapled to the ribs with stainless steel staples. No nails or screws.........

4 Oz FG cloth being applied...........

Plywood sides repaired and installed.

Ready for final sanding and Awlgrip top coat............

Added three skegs for stability............
