I cant seem to find he original photo, but it looked very similar to this 68, but was a lot dirtier and the gelcoat was worn through on the deck.

heres the V-75 that someone had hung on there, you can see the bulges from the steel fastners the last guy used when doing the transom

ready for craigs list! I sold this motor for what I paid for the boat and the lark-40 that will push it!!

fortunatly, once I got it cleaned up, the original layup still looked good! the floor is rock solid and the stringers are all glass, so I am leaving it alone!

The new transom drying. I have 3x mat layers, 2x cloth layers and 2x 6" strips of carbon fiber between the 2 sheets of 1/2" marine ply. The Lark 40 has the longshaft so I decided to raise the transom for it.

Cap painted and back on! I used the Petit brand Mono-thane and rooled/brushed it because I didn't have antwhere to sray it and the weather was miserable for painting. To my suprise it actually looks less than crappy!!
|
|
The motor is almost done, just a couple more items.
too bad I didn't get any pictures of it when I bought it, it was a mess. I spent almost a whole day with the torch removing mild steel fastners from it.

Vance is noticeably excited about the maiden voyage! I am fiiling up the gas tank because all the gas docks are underwater still from the rains last week.

Here's an action shot. Unfortunately my wife is the worlds worst photographer, so she never actually got a picture when we were planing, or the barbeque hazards where Berryessa had swallowed up the picnic area.

we got out fishing on friday the 13th. the weather wasn't great but we did get our first bass in the new boat. (please excuse the phone quality picture, we forgot the camera. and transom plug, and fuel tank vent and oar and...)
