The looks of this boat impressed me, as well as the "Statement of Uses"
Uses: Sports cruiser for extended trips in protected waters, hauling water skiers or aquaplanes and trolling or deep water fishing
Length: 15'
Beam: 6'4"
Depth: Forward 33" Aft 21"
Weight of hull: 450 lbs
Capacity: Sleeps two persons for overnite cruising, or seats four people
Construction: 3/8" & 1/4" Plywood over single curved Bottom
Speeds: Evinrude or Johnson 25hp......32mph
I recently purchased a 1961 Lark III 40hp that I plan on placing on the transom when finished. I think that the two should make for a classic lookin rig. I have yet to pick up the motor but hope to soon.

There are 7 frames in all including the Transom. I have been working on completing the frames and hope to have them complete soon

The #2 Frame as well as the first have turned out to be trickier then planned. They are complete but took more time then I thought they would have.

Frame #3 looked to be the start of the "easy" frames, but found it somewhat complicated. Not as bad as the first two. Hopefully the last ones will go alot easier.

As Expected, Frame #4 turned out completed in under an hours time. The next 2 are based off of the same design so ease in cutting and assembling should come along with them.

Heres a look at frame #5. Looking at them stacked together is a sure sign that this boat will have nice lines and is comming along nicely. This frame was probably the easiest so far to complete.

They may not look different but indeed they are. Frame six is not as tall and more curved on the sides. It was farily easy to build much like #5. Now that 1-6 are done I can look towards the transom. I need to pick up some more wood for it. This project is expected to go in spurts, however I would like it to be complete by the begining of spring, so it can have it's first dip in the water early in the season. We have a few cold winter months here so any major building I wish to have completed before winter sets in. When the Cold weather sets in I will turn my attention to the motor moreso the boat. Since I have yet to pick up the motor I'm not quite sure what it in need of.
