quite a mess, although it really didn't look so bad until I dismantled it. The board behind the vinyl was rotted terribly

Guitar players in the crowd might recognize the new fabric as Fender tweed and the control panels as 3-ply tortoise shell pickguard material. I have a better set of gauges that I'm gonna mount in a new tortoise shell dash plate some time. I'm not concerned with an accurate restoration, just something that works well, looks nice and is somewhat true in style to the vintage of the thing. Hmmm..maybe an eight-track.

lots of mold and mildew. The seats were in much worse shape than they look from this picure. Were totally rotten. You could stick your finger through them anywhere.

I love seafoam green. The stripe looks kinda weird in this pic. It's not strobe-like, that's just a screw up in the photo.

I left the area below the stripe white at first but it seemed to be asking me for paint so I obliged. I'll get up some side views soon.

The jump seats were improvised out of some seat cushions I salvaged from a junk boat and painted with white vinyl paint. They don't fit the curve of this boat very well but they'll do for this year. I'm thinking about building some slatted type seats out of mahogany or something. They actually won't get used all that much. The side panels were in great shape but were faded to various shades of blue. I painted them with some Ford Dark Parchment vinyl interior paint. The carpet is marine carpet from Lowes.

Front view of finished project. I guess it isn't completely finished. If you look real close you can see that the little pointed end of the rail at the front of the port side is missing. Have no idea where to find one
